Love the Children Well: Building Social-Emotional Competence in early childhood...and beyond!

Hi, I am Amanda. I am a mother of three whose own life journey has always led me back to do what I feel most called to do: researching and creating the best ways to build emotional intelligence in the youngest population- children 0-5, and creating tools for social-emotional learning for children of all ages! No matter where life led me in my career as a teacher, I always knew that I wanted to create joy and magic in every classroom or educational setting where I had the opportunity to teach. As it turns out, creating joy and learning through play in an early childhood education are key pieces to optimal learning and social-emotional intelligence development! I hold a Master's degree in Child and Developmental Psychology, teach DAP (developmentally-appropriate practice) and conscious discipline to undergraduate students, and have the privilege of teaching a preschool class. The greatest joys I have felt in my life have been in the presence of children (including my own), and having a hand in creating spaces and opportunities for them to feel great joy, build the confidence to be curious and kind, and develop emotional intelligence skills during the most formative years of their lives, to take with them as they grow, especially through connection, co-regulation, and loving the children well! Click below to learn the recipe for optimal brain development, through play and joy, and how to achieve these in your classroom and your homes, so the most-deserving population (our children!) thrive in their childhoods and beyond.
